Vol. 2: Music theme is Indie Sleaze
Indie sleaze music is a term retroactively applied to the gritty, energetic indie rock, dance-punk, and bloghouse sounds of the mid-2000s to early 2010s, characterized by raw guitar riffs, catchy electronic beats, and themes of hedonism and urban life, exemplified by bands like The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and LCD Soundsystem. It's known for its DIY, messy-glam aesthetic, blending punk-rock fashion with indie cool, and thrived before the polished Instagram era, capturing a rebellious, "in-the-know" nightlife culture.
We are wrapping things up at 10pm so that everyone can still get a good night's sleep and enjoy their Sunday. Feel free to bring your water bottle or other beverage of choice!
Tickets are $10 and all proceeds benefit St. Pete Shuffleboard Club.
